Course Overview

Pilot Foundation Course

Embarking on a career as a pilot in India after completing the 10th grade is an exhilarating endeavour. To initiate this path, it is essential to have passed the class II medical examination. Maintaining good physical health, including having 6/6 vision, is also crucial. Once these prerequisites are fulfilled, you may commence your pilot training, which consists of two components: ground school and flight school. During ground school, you will study various aviation theory topics such as air navigation, air regulations, aviation meteorology, and technical subjects.

Flight school will provide you with practical flying experience, including take-off and landing techniques. It is advisable to begin with the CPL foundation course, which will equip you with fundamental knowledge for the DGCA CPL examinations. However, you can only take the DGCA exams after completing the 12th grade. After the 10th grade, it is recommended to select physics and mathematics in the 11th grade, as these subjects are necessary for aspiring pilots in the 12th grade. The cost of pilot foundation training following the 10th grade varies by ground school, typically ranging from Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 150,000 for this introductory course for future pilots.
