Portal Says “Approved” But No Email? How to Find Your DGCA Computer Number Right Now.

Portal Says “Approved” But No Email? How to Find Your DGCA Computer Number Right Now.

You logged into the DGCA Pariksha Portal, and your heart skipped a beat: your Computer Number application status reads “APPROVED.” 🎉

But the excitement quickly turns to panic when you check your inbox, refresh your spam folder, and find absolutely nothing. No email. No 10-digit number. No confirmation.

Don’t worry. This is a remarkably common glitch on the DGCA Pariksha platform caused by server lag, batch processing delays, or automated email delivery bottlenecks. If the portal says approved, your profile is officially cleared. You do not need to wait for that missing email to get your number.

Here is exactly how to bypass the email delay and find your computer number right now.

Step 1: The “View Details” Hack

Often, the system updates your internal candidate dashboard long before it triggers the external email broadcast system.

  1. Go to the DGCA Pariksha Portal.
  2. Log in using your existing Temporary ID / Registration credentials.
  3. Navigate to your application dashboard.
  4. Do not just look at the word “Approved.” Click on View Application, View Details, or print your application summary.
  5. Scroll down to the office use or metadata section. Frequently, the newly generated 10-digit number is already stamped inside the digital copy of the form.

Step 2: Test the “E-” Login Shortcut

Once a computer number is generated, your temporary ID stops working for subsequent exam steps because your new login identity is born. You can test if your number is active by checking the profile management structure:

  1. Look closely at the approved dashboard screen. See if a sequence starting with E- (e.g., E-2026XXXXXX) is visible anywhere near your profile photo.
  2. If you locate that sequence, that is your lifelong identifier!
  3. Try logging out and logging back into the DGCA Pariksha Portal using that E-number as your Login ID along with your existing password.

Step 3: Check Your eGCA Profile Sync

Because the examination ecosystem links your DGCA Pariksha Profile with your core aviation profile, the data frequently transfers to the background portal first.

  1. Log into your core eGCA Portal Account.
  2. Check your Aspirant Profile Dashboard.
  3. Look under the “Licensing/Examination Details” tab. If the Central Examination Organisation (CEO) has signed off on it, the system will auto-populate your 10-digit Computer Number in your master profile automatically.

Step 4: The 48-Hour Batch Window

If you have tried the steps above and the number is missing from all text fields despite showing “Approved,” you are caught in a batch processing queue.

  • The DGCA system processes thousands of applications simultaneously.
  • A status often switches to “Approved” the moment an individual officer clicks the verification button, but the server script that generates the alphanumeric sequence and emails it runs on a fixed loop (usually every 24 to 48 hours).
  • Give it two business days for the system cache to clear and display the digits.

Still Blank After 48 Hours? Time to Escalate

If your screen still shows approved but completely blank numbers after two days, use the official internal channels to pull your number manually:

  • The Help Desk Route: Do not create a new profile. Log into your current portal, find the Raise Query / Help Desk tab, and lodge a ticket stating: “Application approved on [Date], but Computer Number not reflecting on dashboard or email.”
  • Direct Email Escalation: Send a crisp email to the official support desk at pariksha.dgca@gov.in and copy ceo.dgca@nic.in.
    • Subject Line: URGENT: Computer Number Approved But Not Received – Temp ID [Your ID]
    • Body: State your full name, registered mobile number, and attach a screenshot of your “Approved” dashboard status page.

To help give you the most accurate troubleshooting steps, let me know:

  • How many days ago did your status change to “Approved”?
  • When you click on your “View Profile” or “Application Summary” tab inside the portal, are the fields next to “Computer Number” completely blank, or do they show your old Temporary ID?
